If you shop for The Uniform Shoppe merchandise and place your orders exclusively through The Uniform Shoppe, any personal information that you may share with us, and with the business partners that help this site function or assist us in fulfilling your order, is kept absolutely private. Neither your name nor anything about you is sold or shared with any other non-affiliated company or agency.
If you place orders by mail, internet or phone, we do compile a mailing list so we may forward information on products or services might interest you. If you prefer to have your name withheld, or wish to unsubscribe to catalogues and other product information, send an e-mail to peter@underwoods.co.nz and we will remove your name as quickly as possible.
We do, of course, ask you for certain kinds of personal information (see below) in order to provide the services you request. And several of our optional services and functions do use cookies. Types of personal information we may gather-
Purchases
When you place an order, you give us your name, address, phone number or e-mail address plus credit card information. If you create a Personal Shopping Account with us, so that you may place orders more conveniently, you authorize us to store your name and shipping address(es). We do not store credit card and billing information. Furthermore, your credit card information is never stored on our servers all credit-card transactions are through Paymate.co.nz. Paymate.co.nz processes payments on their secure servers and are fully AIS (Account Information Security), SDP (Site Data Protection) and PCIDSS certified. They provide you with 128 bit encrypted (SSL) payment page security.
E-mail newsletters
We need your e-mail address; they are integral to the creation of a valid user-account. However, subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. You can remove yourself from our promotional-email list by changing the appropriate setting yourself while logged into our website (on the "my account") page.
Online services
Several of our optional services involve storing personal information on your Personal Shopping Account. This is for your convenience only. The information is not used for any other purpose.
How we use cookies
This website makes extensive use of "session-cookies" so that your browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) can "maintain-state" with our web-server. If cookies are disabled on your browser, the website will appear to function incorrectly. The cookies we use are temporary and vanish when you exit your web-browser. We do not use third-party or tracking cookies.
Our Business Partners
In order to ship and track merchandise, we make your name and address available to such companies as NOW Couriers, NZ Post, DHL and other courier/shipping companies. In no instance are these business affiliates allowed to use your personal information for any other purpose.
Removing your name from mailing lists
If you no longer wish to receive our catalogues and other product information, please contact us via e-mail at peter@underwoods.co.nz. Please include your name and mailing address in the message.
